The queer culture festival in Garraf.
Sitges Queer Fest is a creativity festival organized by the LGTBIQ+ association
Colors Sitges Link and the cultural entity El Retiro, with the support of Sitges
Town Council, the Barcelona Provincial Council, and the Department of Social
Rights of the Generalitat.
The festival brings together singers, musicians, performers, writers, poets,
dancers, and queer artists, both from Catalonia and beyond, who showcase
their work through performative shows, concerts, talks, workshops, sessions,
and exhibitions.
This year’s festival will take place from 17 to 21 September in Sitges, coinciding
with the Festa Major of Santa Tecla. Our aim is to connect local tradition and
celebration with queer culture, which has been historically present in Sitges.
Main venues include El Retiro, the Ave Maria Chapel, the Santiago Rusiñol
Library and the Sitges Museum.
This 5th edition features the collaboration of Fundación Ave María, Aquelarre
Cultural de Dones Creadores, Grupo Everlasting, Boys Bar Sitges, Hausesitre
Real State and Moulin Rose.
Get your tickets for the different events at colorssitgeslink.org and download
the full program (coming soon).

identity? Join our workshop!
In this session, you’ll draw out words related to LGBTQIA+ life to
inspire your creation. You’ll have one hour to let your imagination flow
and give it shape — whether through a drawing, a monologue, or a
poem.
Afterwards, we’ll share our works in an intimate space of mutual
respect.
You don’t need to be an artist, just bring the desire to express yourself.
We can’t wait to see you!

narratives, as we explore paths of visibility and commitment through
books.
An exciting debate with the voices of Sandra Bravo, Ian Bermúdez,

Codes to Global Visibility
September 19 - 8:30 PM
Espai Tallers del Ave María. Avda. Artur Carbonell, 11
How has the representation of the LGTBIQ+ community on the big screen
changed? From coded characters in the shadows of Hollywood’s golden age
to today’s complex and diverse narratives, cinema has been both a reflection
and a driving force for social change.
We invite you to an open dialogue to explore this fascinating evolution.
We’ll look at key milestones, challenges overcome, and those still ahead in
the fight for authentic and respectful visibility in the seventh art.
An essential conversation to understand how our stories have been told,
featuring the unique perspectives of Owen John Holden, Prado G.
Velázquez, Antonio del Valle and Ed Basden.
Don’t miss this chance to dive into the history and future of queer cinema.
We look forward to seeing you!

In a heteronormative society, being queer is an act of constant resistance.
Our poetry is born from that struggle, from the need to find a safe space for
our emotions and our identity. Because queer poetry is just that: a tool of
expression, a mirror in which to recognize ourselves, and a weapon to
transform pain into art and dissent into beauty.
Join us for our Queer Poetry Brunch and share this act of liberation with us.
Enjoy the voices of Elisa Lein, Glòria Bosch, Martin Lewton, Olza Olzeta,
Manu Fandos, and Lucia Serralta, who will show us the richness and
strength of their words.
Let’s meet to celebrate that we are, that we feel, and that we write. Raise
your glass to poetry, dissent, and life!
